Custom lapel pin with military (butterfly) clutch. Soft Enamel is another alternative to cloisonne. Your design is stamped into the metal and plated as you desire. The recessed areas are hand-painted with brilliant enamel and baked to harden. Since the enamel is only applied to the background areas, you will feel the "peaks and valleys". An epoxy dome may be applied for a smooth feel but is not necessary for the durability of the pin. Silk screen is used when your artwork requires more detail than the other types of lapel pins can achieve. No metal divider lines are necessary. Parts of lapel pins can also be silk screened. Acid Etch is similar to soft enamel except the metal is thinner. The design is etched into the metal using acids and is then plated.

Custom lapel pin. Color poly is the choice when cloisonne is requested but PMS color matching is required. Just like cloisonne, your design is stamped into the metal and then plated. The recessed areas are filled with brilliant colored resins. It is then fired and polished. With silk-screening, it combines the elegance of enamel resin colors with silk-screen overlay. You may also hear this process termed as "laser enamel" or "print on enamel". Silk-screening on color poly allows colors to be added to your pin in areas too small for enamel, without separation using metal walls. An invisible coating of clear lacquer will be applied to the surface of your pin to protect the silk-screen colors.Both color poly enamel and silk-screen colors can be matched to your PMS requirements.
